An Opening Day attraction at the Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World’s version of the Haunted Mansion differed externally from its sister attraction at Disneyland because of its location. Having an entrance off of Liberty Square meant theming the mansion to fit the overall theming of the areas around it. Inside, the attraction was similar but not exact. A key difference inside is that the Disneyland stretching rooms move downward whereas the Magic Kingdom’s rooms stretch upward. Passport to Dreams did an incredible article on this topic.
Outside of minor closures for fixes and clean-ups, the Haunted Mansion closed in June 2007 to undergo a major refurbishment in which it received new wallpaper, lighting, audio, and scenes.
You should mention something about the raven and how He used to be the ghost host.
Actually, the raven was to be a sort of “additional” narrator, along with the ghost host!
