Though they actually took you nowhere, the Hyrdolators were small compartments meant to simulate elevators that dropped below the surface of the oceans to reach Seabase Alpha. The effect was produced with a floor that shook, a ceiling that looked as if you were looking up to miles of ocean above you, and a moving rock wall that was combined with a bubbler to produce the effect of moving quickly down a rock tunnel to the base.
In 2006, The Living Seas became The Seas With Nemo & Friends. As part of this refurbishment, though the old Seacab attraction was given new life, the Hydrolators were removed.
