Just 5 days after its predecessor, If You Had Wings, had closed, If You Could Fly opened in June 1987. The attraction was very much the same however no longer contained references to Eastern Airlines for obvious reasons. The logo for the attraction was replaced with a Seagull, the theme song was rewritten and each scene’s music changed with only a few sound effects retained.
After a relatively short run, If You Could Fly closed in January 1989 to undergo a fairly major refurbishment into the subsequent replacement, Delta Dreamflight.
