Opening after Barbie became the Epcot ambassador in 1994, The Magical World of Barbie was a 20 minute show at the America Gardens Theater.
The show was a musical featuring life-sized Barbie “dolls” performing on stage. It had a colorful and elaborate set, and the music and choreography were top-notch. There were several costume changes throughout the show, and each one was more dazzling than the last. The “dolls” were voiced by some of the most famous actresses in Hollywood, including Elizabeth Taylor and Raquel Welch.
Unfortunately for Barbie, the show came to an end in May 1995.
