An opening day attraction at EPCOT Center, O Canada! debuted on October 1, 1982 in the Canada Pavilion of World Showcase. Presented in Circle-Vision 360°, the film surrounded guests with sweeping views of Canadian landscapes, cities, and cultural moments—from the RCMP Musical Ride to the Calgary Stampede, Vancouver Harbour, and the icy majesty of Niagara Falls. The original narration was voiced by Corey Burton, and the film was inspired by the Canada ’67 documentary shown at Expo 67.

After 25 years, the attraction closed in August 2007 for a brief refurbishment. It reopened on September 1, 2007 with a newly updated version narrated by Martin Short, who brought a humorous and self-aware tone to the presentation. This version included refreshed footage, a new orchestral score by Bruce Broughton, and a re-recording of the song “Canada (You’re a Lifetime Journey)” performed by Eva Avila, winner of Canadian Idol’s fourth season.

In August 2019, the theater closed once again for a four-month refurbishment, this time to update both the film and the viewing experience. It reopened in January 2020 with a brand-new production titled Canada Far and Wide, narrated by Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy. The new film retained the Circle-Vision format but introduced modern cinematography, a revised musical score, and a broader representation of Canada’s provinces and cultures, continuing the tradition of showcasing the country’s beauty and diversity to EPCOT guests.
