Playhouse Disney: Live on Stage! opened to guests in October 2001, less than 2 months after it’s predecessor Bear in the Big Blue House: Live on Stage! had closed, and featured characters from popular Disney Channel shows including: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, The Little Einsteins, and My Friends Tigger and Pooh.

Similar to it’s predecessor, guests entered the theater and were directed to take a seat on the floor for the show. There they were introduced to their favorite characters, via live actors and puppeteering, who had gathered together to plan a surprise birthday party for Minnie Mouse.

Playhouse Disney: Live on Stage! closed it’s doors in January 2011 to be refurbished into a similar show featuring characters from the updated Disney Channel preschool program, Disney Junior.

Disney Junior: Live on Stage! opened less than 2-months later. A very similar show concept to its predecessor, the show featured characters such as Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and of course, Mickey and Minnie.

In September, 2018, Disney Junior: Live on Stage! officially closed its doors to be replaced with a similarly themed dance party space.
