Opening in January 1997, Shrunken Ned’s Junior Jungle Boats was a remote-controlled boat attraction located near the Jungle Cruise in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. Guests could pilot miniature Jungle Cruise-style boats through themed obstacles using steering wheels and throttles. Each boat had a playful name like Amazon Annie, Congo Connie, Ganges Gertie, and Nile Nellie—a nod to the classic Jungle Cruise humor. The attraction closed in August 2012 and was replaced in spring 2013 by stations for A Pirate’s Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas.
